Create Professional Live Streams

With VEGAS Stream you can work with one webcam or multiple cameras and add dynamic elements to your live streaming, such as dynamic graphics and video playing. There are features for preparing your streaming, for live producing your streaming for and post producing your streaming.

Preparing Your Streaming

You can choose the video/audio sources of your live stream. For example, you can use your computer’s built-in webcam as your first video source or your smartphone plugged into your computer as your second video source. You can also choose the video quality preset of your stream (how much image resolution you want to capture from your video source).

The same goes for the audio sources: you choose how they are set up for your live stream. Any audio interface connected to your computer, such as a USB microphone, will be automatically recognized by VEGAS Stream when you’re setting up the Live Audio Input in your stream project.

Also, VEGAS Stream has titles, transitions and graphics from its partner NewBlue that you can customize and add to your stream before you start it. That is a great way to add subtitles to and an intro to your stream and point out important information to your audience. You can also add media files to your streaming and create image playlists or similar media sequences to enrich your live streaming even more.

Then, you can configure what is the streaming destination of your live streaming, meaning what platform you will be streaming on, such as Facebook Live, Microsoft Live and Twitch. Furthermore, you have other settings that you can adjust and edit as you like before starting your live stream based on your streaming destination.

Live Producing Your Streaming

VEGAS Stream allows you to launch media presentations that you set up in the preparing phase (explained above) before you start your streaming. They work as an intro to your live stream. You can make a presentation go live and simultaneously record it to your computer’s local hard drive.

You can launch as many graphics as you want before you start to speak to your audience. You can also add guests joining your live video from other platforms, such as Skype, and always preview what your audience is seeing from the Live Output window within VEGAS Stream.

Another thing you can do is join your live stream as a picture in picture. Whenever you want, you can play graphics on your live stream, such as lower thirds and titles. Then, you have options to switch between cameras and interact with your viewers in real time comments, posts and social media chats.

Post-Producing Your Streaming

You can then post-produce your streaming by adding extra media, cutting parts of the video (if you recorded video) or editing your streamed audio. Then you can share the post-production of your streaming with your audience as a replay of your live streaming, but also as a rebroadcast or as an archive stream.

After you import your streaming files into VEGAS Pro for video editing (included both in VEGAS Pro 365 and in VEGAS Post 365).

Then you can edit all the media, graphics, audio and video from your recorded live streaming as you like within the VEGAS Pro 365 dashboard.

You can also edit your live stream audio as you like by opening it on SOUND FORGE Audio Studio from the VEGAS Pro dashboard. SOUND FORGE Audio Studio is included in both versions of VEGAS Stream (within the VEGAS Pro 365 and VEGAS Post 365).

You can also add motion graphics effects to your recorded streaming by using VEGAS Effects (included in VEGAS Post 365).

Another thing you can do is compose images to add to your stream post-production with VEGAS Image (also included in VEGAS Post 365).
